.45 GAP Ammunition

Ernest Durham developed the .45 GAP for use in Glock automatic pistols. While it has similar power to the .45 ACP, the stronger case reduces case neck blowouts and it is also a more compact option for easier carry. In Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and New York, police have all adopted the Glock 37 with .45 GAP as standard issue. When it was first released, several manufacturers carried pistols that chambered the .45 GAP, but all but Glock have dropped models that work with the .45 from present production.
