.240 Weatherby Magnum Ammunition

Also known as: 240 Weatherby Magnum, .240 Weatherby

The .240 Weatherby Magnum, released in 1968, was the final cartridge ever designed by the famous Roy Weatherby. This new 6 mm cartridge was created after carefully studying the downfalls and advantages of the .244 H&H Magnum in England. This new cartridge was unique because it featured a different rim diameter and length than typical releases in the Weatherby line. It can only be used with Weatherby rifles, but it was a popular choice because it was one of the fastest 6 mm cartridges available commercially up to that point.
