Also known as: 300 H&H Magnum, .300 H&H Magnum
Holland and Holland released the .300 H&H Magnum cartridge as the “Super-Thirty” in 1925. It featured a belted case and was a popular choice in competitive shooting. In fact, the 300 H&H Mag was used by Ben Comfort to win the 1000-yard Wimbledon Cup Match in 1935 and it later claimed the win in the 1000-yard competition in 1937. While it never reached the same popularity as the competing .30-06, it has remained a popular choice for African hunting expeditions that seek dangerous large game.
