6.5 x 50mm Japanese Arisaka Ammunition

The Imperial Japanese Army adopted the 6.5x50mm Ariska is 1897 to work with the Type 30 Ariska rifle and carbine. It replaced the former 8x52mm Murata round. Later, the Type 35 rifle was chambered to work with the preferred 6.5x50mm cartridge. It remained popular through the early 1900’s when the Japanese army used it in the Type 38 Arisaka infantry rifle and carbine as well as the Type 44 cavalry carbines.
