6mm Rem Ammunition

Also known as: 6mm remington, 6 mm Remington

Remington introduced the 6mm caliber in 1955 as a .244 Rem. It was designed by necking down the .257 Roberts to make it more efficient for varmint hunting. Because the target was almost always small game, it was never factory loaded with bullets exceeding 90 grains. In 1963, Remington changed the name of this cartridge to the 6mm Rem. This caliber pairs well with most commercial 6mm bullets.
